Oregon minimum wage is will increase July 1, 2017.  Enacted by the 2016 Oregon Legislature, the annual minimum wage rate increases began July 1st, 2016 and will increase annually through July 1st, 2022.

The Senate bill sets out to separate the rates for employers located in the urban growth boundary, standard, and nonurban counties.  Crook and Jefferson County are in the “Nonurban County” category and Deschutes County falls in the Standard county areas.  Therefore, Crook and Jefferson county minimum wage will increase to $10.00 an hour and Deschutes County will increase to $10.25 an hour.  The Portland Metro rate applies to employers located within the urban growth boundary (UGB) of the metropolitan service district and they will see minimum wage increase to $11.25.
